Loombotic is a Toronto-based manufacturing automation company pioneering the world's first fully automated wire harness factory. Founded in 2024 by Ethan Breit and Lucas Crupi, Loombotic is tackling one of manufacturing's most labor-intensive challenges: wire harness production. Wire harnesses—the nervous systems connecting electrical components in everything from electric vehicles to aircraft to data centers—represent a $200+ billion global market, yet manufacturing remains surprisingly manual and inefficient despite decades of automation advances in other areas. Loombotic's mission is to transform this critical industry through AI-driven robotics that deliver precision wire harnesses in as little as 7 days.

The founding team brings exceptional technical credentials and a history of collaboration. Lucas Crupi became the youngest Solidworks expert at age 15 and most recently worked on Tesla's Cybertruck battery design, bringing deep knowledge of electric vehicle systems and manufacturing requirements. Ethan Breit has been programming since age 8 and worked at Ericsson after being offered a position for independently developing an embedded operating system while still in school. The two founders met at the Canada Wide Science Fair and have been building together for over six years, establishing a strong technical partnership before launching Loombotic.

Accepted into Y Combinator's Fall 2024 (F24) batch, Loombotic is Y Combinator-backed and IPC certified, demonstrating commitment to industry standards and quality. The company's approach combines robotics, AI-driven process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles to achieve 99% yields and 2x throughput improvements.
