Fluor has a 108-year history dating back to its founding in 1912. The company provides engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, and project management services worldwide, serving clients in oil, gas, petrochemicals, renewable fuels, power generation, nuclear, mining, life sciences, data centers, and semiconductors. Fluor is the contractor of choice for delivering some of the world's most complex and critical energy and chemical infrastructure projects.
The company reported revenue of $16.3 billion in 2024 and is ranked 265 among the Fortune 500 companies. New awards for 2024 were $9.5 billion, with ending backlog increasing to $17.7 billion. Fluor's strategy focuses on growth in data center, semiconductor, and life sciences construction driven by AI expansion.
In May 2025, Jim Breuer was named CEO, succeeding David Constable who transitioned to Executive Chairman. Constable had served as Fluor's 14th CEO since January 2021, bringing 30 years of insight into Fluor's business from various leadership roles between 1982 and 2011.
