farmtheory is India's first vegetable delivery service to restaurants, operating as a B2B agri-food startup that delivers fresh fruits and vegetables to the food service and processing industry within 20 hours of harvesting. The company raised $1.45M seed round in February 2024 led by Merak Ventures, bringing total funding to $1.96M from 16 investors including Y Combinator ($150K in March 2020). Since founding in 2019, farmtheory has served over 1,500 kitchens and onboarded 3,000 partner farmers, acquiring 'freeform' (unsold) produce directly from farmers and supplying to cloud kitchens, catering companies, food processors, and restaurants.
